History & Story

The lodge is created by Balder Expert Nordics, a seasoned travel company with nearly two decades in the DMC (destination management) sphere. Our experience spans curated travel services across Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark & Iceland region since May 2005. After 20 years of crafting bespoke travel experiences, the company has taken the next bold step by launching its own 5-star hotel — Balder Luxury Lodge.

Balder Luxury Lodge enjoys a prime yet peaceful location in Levi, Finland — offering guests the best of both worlds: luxurious serenity with easy access to local attractions. Just a 5-minute drive to the nearest ski slope and around 10 minutes by car to Levi Ski Resort, making morning ski days super easy. Airport is approximately 15-minute drive away.

Children’s Corner

This is a dedicated outdoor play area designed especially for children to enjoy winter activities safely. While there is no formal indoor space, the children’s corner includes areas for making snowmen, having snowball fights, and sledding down gentle hills using toboggans or sleds. The space is supervised to ensure safety but encourages free, imaginative play in the snow.

Each suite has large windows with views of snowy landscape. Offering an elegant blend of comfort and refinement, featuring a queen-size bed (90+90 cm, convertible to twin or double) dressed in luxury linens, a plush sofa bed suitable for one adult or two children, and a stylish seating area with a sofa table and pouf. Thoughtful conveniences include a dedicated work desk with chair, a wardrobe, a drying closet, and a curated coffee and tea set complete with capsules, sugar, and bottled water. Guests may enhance their stay with a personalized in-room scent selection—choose from sandalwood, lily, apricot, and more.

The spacious bathroom is designed for indulgence, offering Bvlgari cosmetics, plush towels, a bathrobe, slippers, a hairdryer, and a complete luxury toiletry set including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and amenity kits.
